I mean, come on. Sometimes I get sent stuff and I'm like, erm... are you sure you meant to send this to little insignificant me?! I had this album sent through and I responded to say I only had time to listen to one track, so he gave me his favourite choice - 'Untrue'. Which I listened to, and it gives me Massive Attack Unfinished Sympathy vibes. And then I HAD TO MAKE TIME to listen to the rest (I'm a massive Massive Attack fan, but it's not all like that - it spans a fair few genres throughout). I'm not going through track by track, breaking down vibes and layers. But I will tell you that this is the most expert use of samples coupled with real instrumentation that I've heard in quite some while. You could literally just put this album on repeat at your next party and everyone would be happy. Every track has something to offer, and I'm sitting here bopping in my studio chair, giggling periodically at the most ridiculous moments of genius. Best 34 minutes and 4 seconds of my day.
