Transverse (and Caroline) - Moon and Back

 

It's not often that a song hits from the moment you press play. I love a good love song, and this beautiful tune from Transverse featuring vocals by Caroline has all the ingredients you'd hope for. Romantic piano, a solid rhythm, swishy sounds, string pads, wide-open reverb on the vocals and even a heart beat, all before the first chorus! Caroline's vocal is somewhat vulnerable and emotional, which is often how we feel when telling someone we love them. 

The phrase 'I love you to the moon and back' tends to be well used in parent/child relationships, as per the gorgeous 2015 book by Amelia Hepworth, an international classic - perhaps relaying this message to a romantic partner might be felt more with the added nostalgia of your early years.

I have to admit that I'm a bit of a production snob and often pick holes in how songs sound, but I have nothing to say about how this song could be improved. It FEELS complete, and it's exciting to hear something so refreshingly excellent in its production. Top marks all round.
